Bayelsa Queens Chairman Clears Name Over Transfer Rumors.

It was reported in the news last week that the Chairman of Bayelsa Queens FC has been alledgedly exporting players of the club without the knowledge of the board members. The news which has now been refuted by the accused.

The Bayelsa Queens Chairman, Pastor Robin Apreala, has described the news as malicious and baseless rumour.

He said it is just a figment of the imaginations of those carrying fake news and that they don’t mean well for Bayelsa Queens Football Club and the State.

He also pointed out that the players reportedly sold by the team were free players who came from their respective clubs in Europe and had their clearance which stipulated that they were free to leave the club whenever they have offers outside the country.

The Champions of the 2021 AITEO Cup, Bayelsa Queens FC is one of the best teams in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).

Despite this condition, the Chairman still encourage the club of Peace Efih, Hapeol Ben Sheva of Israel to assist Bayelsa Queens with training balls worth of N200,000.

On the issue of the N450,000 gift given to the team by the Bayelsa State First Lady, Robin Apreala stated that the Board agreed to add N200,000 to the bonus promised the girls ahead of the AITEO Cup Final and that he remaining N250,000 was shared among the Board Members. This he said can be verified from any of the Board Members of the Club.

The Chairman believes he is running an open door policy and he is transparent in his dealings with the Board Members and the team in general.

He made it known that there is no rancor in the Bayelsa Queens FC board as they are all working in harmony for the betterment of the club and called on those peddling the fake news to stop forthwith and urged the public to discountenance the story.

“I have passion for this club and will use all within my power to attract good things to the club.” – He said.

The Bayelsa Queens FC Chairman is an ordained pastor which is why he said “as a Clergy man and a man of honour and integrity, I will not do anything to undermine the State Government and the club”, he emphasised that all the things said about him are lies.
