#CosafaWCL: Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Grab The 6th Slot For The Maiden CAF Women’s Champions League.

Mamelodi Sundowns crowned champions of COSAFA Zonal Qualifiers.

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC of South Africa defeated Black Rhinos Queens FC of Zimbabwe 3-0 to clinch the 2021 COSAFA (Southern Africa) Zonal Qualifiers title and ticket for the maiden Total Energies CAF Women’s Champions League.

Goals by; Lerato Kgasago ’12, Nonhlanhla Mthandi ’78, and Boitumelo Rabale ’90.

The team will represent the southern region when the Inaugural Total Energies CAF Women’s Champions League kick-off later this year in Egypt.

Picking the sixth of the available eight slots, Sundown Ladies 🇿🇦 joined UNAF representatives; 🇲🇦 AS FAR and 🇪🇬 Wadi Degla (hosts), 🇲🇱 AS Mande representing WAFU A region, Hasaacas Ladies 🇬🇭 and Rivers Angels 🇳🇬 from WAFU B region.

The remaining two slots will be picked by representatives from UNIFFAC (Central Africa) and CECAFA (East Africa).
