Having sealed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the club on deadline day, the Portuguese forward is said to be enrolling his eldest son, Cristiano Jr, at United’s academy.
“I would love for him to be a footballer, because he feels passion for this sport,” Ronaldo told DAZN. “He is a competitor and he hates losing.”
Cristiano Jr was involved with Juventus’ academy from 2018 onwards following his father’s footsteps, scoring 58 goals and 17 assists in just 23 games for the U-9 team.
The son of the famous player now has the chance to recreate a similar partnership his dad had at the club, as he will be joining the same age group as the son of Wayne Rooney.
Kai has been part of United’s youth set-up since last year, during which time he scored a hat-trick against Stoke, and recently went on his first away trip.
Cristiano Jr will continue his progression in Manchester alongside for Manchester United under-11 youth team next season.
