Former 36-Lion FC Midfielder Wins Super Cup With FC Santa Marta.

The Sequeira Teles Super Cup organized by the Vila Real Football Association (AFVR) was played this Sunday, at Campo do Calvário, in Vila Real. It’s a head-to-head clash between the district champions and last season’s AFVR Cup winners.

It was a crazy game. After a balanced first half, Santa Marta entered the second half scoring and in the 73′ Justino Ribeiro’s men were winning 3-0, far from imagining what was yet to come.

Santa Marta ended up surprised by Régua, who in the last 10 minutes scored three goals, tying the match and forcing the winner to be found using penalties.

The game, which marked the return of supporters to the stadiums in the Vila Real Football Association competitions also marked the perfect start for the former 36-Lion FC midfielder, Kehinde Olatunji Ayomide.

The Nigerian played all minutes for FC Santa Marta.

He took the last penalty that helped his side win the cup.

The 24-year-old performance in a game unsuitable for the faint hearted proved that there is quality and emotion in the lower divisions as well.
