#WorldCupQualifiers: Two Super Eagles Players Tested Positive For COVID-19 As Team Landed in Cape Verde.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have landed in Cape Verde ahead of their qualifying match against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde.

The team travelled without the UK-based players such as Alex Iwobi, Etebo, Troost Ekong, Iheanacho, W. Ndidi and the Rangers duo, who all had to leave for Britain immediately after the game against Liberia, amidst COVID-19 protocol.

The team arrived Cape Verde –which is marked among countries in Britain’s COVID-19 red zone –at the early hours of Monday through their partnered airline, Air Peace, ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers game, the sample of the players was taken as part of CAF protocol.

Two players, Bordeaux Samuel Kalu and Venezia’s Tyrone Ebuehi returned positive and will be out of the game today.

The Chairman, Air Peace, Allen Onyema has promised to splash N20 million on Super Eagles if they win their World Cup qualifying match against Cape Verde on Tuesday.

The game will be played by 5pm on an artificial turf at the Estadio Municipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo.
