Finding it difficult to find her ground, she passed to a teammate Barbara who placed a shot from inside the area forcing another defensive clearance by Kenti Robles which landed at Deyna Castellanos’ feet to score the first goal.
In the final stage of the first 45 minutes, Laia Aleixandri and Ajibade had two chances to widen the gap, but the result remain with Atleti headed to the halftime with a 1-0 lead.
The Nigerian international make way for South African Thembi Kgatlana in the 46th minute.
The second half saw Kgatlana attempted the death pass at 3 minutes from the start, but the Las Blancas defense sent the pass to a corner kick.
The second goal would come later through a collective move started by Barbara and ended by Banini goal in the 66th minute.
Both Banini and Kgatlana had some impressive tactical play but the scoreboard did not move and the match ended with a 0-2 red-and-white Madrid derby victory.
