FAWSL: Arsenal Little’s brace gun down Manchester City.

It’s a good day to be a Arsenal fan both in the Premier League and in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

Following in the step of their male counterpart who thrashed Tottenham 3-1 earlier today, Arsenal Women demolished Manchester City Women 5-0 on Sunday at the Meadow Park, London to show its title credentials.

The Gunners opened their goal riot through none other than Vivianne Miedema in the 10th minute before Kim Little’s superb strike doubled the home side’s lead thirteen minutes later from a Miedema’s assist.

Katie McCabe hit a thunderous third in the 60th minute before Little’s second from the spot in the 78th minute.

Four minutes of added time, Leah Williamson completed the rout with a stoppage-time header.

The Gunners maintained its perfect start to the season with three wins from the first three games of 2021/2022 Barclays English FA Women’s Super League (WSL) as they moved to the top of the WSL table in an emphatic fashion.
