Fran Kirby reached FAWSL 50th goal milestone.

After consecutive victories over Reading (2-0) and Leicester City (1-3), Manchester United Women welcomed the defending Chelsea.

Emma Hayes’s girls defeated Manchester United 1-6 to end united’s perfect start to the 2021/22 Barclays English FA Women’s Super League (WSL) season on Sunday.

Just two minutes into the game, Fran Kirby opened the scoring with her 50th Women’s Super League goal, becoming just the third player in the league history to reach that milestone after Ellen White and Vivianne Miedema.

Pernille Harder doubled the lead with a superb solo effort before Sam Kerr tapped home a third, as we headed to halftime whistle.

Alessia Russo’s deflected strike gave United hope, but Kerr, Drew Spence, and Jessie Fleming who registered her first Chelsea goal added to United’s woe.

Chelsea moved to the third position on the league table with six points from three games and will next play Birmingham in the 2020/2021 English Women’s FA Cup Quarterfinal on September 29.
