It is Monday Gift’s world we are living in.

FC Robo Queens’ captain, Gift Monday has re-announced her proficiency and consistency in scoring goals, using Betsy Obaseki Invitational Tournament as her new avenue.

The forward has continued her scoring momentum from emerging as the highest goal scorer of the NWFL premiership 2020/2021 with 11 goals, to scoring 2 goals (joint highest) at the just concluded Aisha Buhari Cup, Gift has now scored seven goals in two games at the ongoing tournament in Edo State.

As if scoring two goals on match day 1 wasn’t enough, well it wasn’t enough for Gift who went ahead to score 5 goals on match day 2 against Royal Queens.

FC Robo defeated Royal by 5-0 and Monday Gift scored all five. The Lagos based team have now scored 10 goals in total at the tournament with Gift having scored a total of 7 and still counting as tournament continues.

In the presence of Her excellency Betsy Obaseki and Deputy Governor Rt Hon Philip Shuaibu, at the Western boys high School mini Stadium, Monday Gift has created her own world that we all are living in.

“I am very happy scoring 5 goals in a single match and we have resolved as a team to give our best in this tournament,” she said while speaking to the media

For match day 3, Rivers Angels and FC Robo will slug it out on Thursday at the UniBen sports complex to determine who gets the semi final slot.
