Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala scored two goals as the Catalans win with authority against newly promoted Villarreal (0-8) in a great game for the entire team and remain intractable leading the domestic championship, with four victories in four games.

Lieke Martens opened the floodgates of goals in the 17th minute with a powerful shot to the right of the goalkeeper.

Barça’s dominance was absolute, and the second was not long in coming through Alexia Putellas. The captain, with a powerful shot from the front, doubled the lead in the 28th minute.

The third goal ended up before the break through Marta Torrejón, with a tight shot to the post after a good drop from Asisat Oshoala in the 36th minute, a result that would end the first half.

Aitana Bonmati header and Alexia Putellas in the 52nd minute with her second of the game increased Barcelona’s lead to five after the interval.

Asisat Oshoala joined the goal party three minutes later. The Barça gale continued to attack and once again Oshoala saw the goal with an acrobatic shot after a Martens cross. The Dutchwoman was also in charge of completing the rout in the 83rd minute.
