#CAFCC: Finidi George Starts Enyimba managerial career with a crucial away win

Newly appointed manager, Finidi George started his Enyimba’s managerial career with a crucial away win in the continental competition thanks to substitute Cyril Olisema who scored a late minute winner from the spot kick as the NPFL club triumphed against FC Diambars of Senegal in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday, at the Lat-Dior Stadium.

Nigerian shot-stopper, Ojo Olorunleke was decent with two important saves in the first half to ensures there’s nothing to separate the two sides at halftime.

Olisema was called from the bench to replaced Samuel Kalu in the 57th and his impact was felt on the scoresheet.

In the 84th minute, Orok was hacked down inside the box, and the referee pointed to the spot kick. Olisema stepped forward to relieve the pressure as he converted beautifully to give the visitors the first leg advantage.

Cyril Olisema have now scored three goals for Enyimba FC on the continent; all of which were scored in the second half and were the only goals in the matches.

The elephant of Aba have now kept an away clean sheet in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time since September 2018, after eleven failed attempts.
