AWCONQ: Lionesses of Cameroon survives CAR clash

After a difficult victory against Central African Republic (CAR) in the first leg, the senior Indomitable Lionesses had just snatched a second victory on October 24 to win 3-0 on aggregate.

Nchout Njoya Ajara’s late winner in the away fixture had already put Cameroon in an advantage position in the tie, going to the second leg.

Cameroon managed to score the first goal of the game in the second half through Grâce Ngock Yango in the 68th minute before Éliane Manbolamo, Ginelux CD Juan Grande defender sealed the win at stoppage time, scoring the second Cameroonian goal.

This double victory for the Queens of Gabriel Zabo favors Cameroon to advance to the second qualifying round of the AWCON and will face Gambia for a slot at the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2022.
