Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon forward cum team manager has expressed her desire to step down from her role with immediate effect in a release trending on social media on Thursday evening.

The 30-year-old points out varied reasons amounting to her decision barely few months after she took office. Enganamouit was appointed team manager in April this year to replace Bella Rose.

Mr President I have served my country with dignity on and off the pitch and will continue doing so, but certainly not with you. I plead you consider my resignation with immediate effect,” a portion of the release read.

The 2015 CAF Women’s Footballer of the year points out a number of misunderstandings between her and the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Prince Seidou Mbombo Njoya amounting to this decision. Amongst the multiple reasons is her unavailability for the national selection in her role as team manager especially during the recent 2021 AFCON information tour. According to Gaelle, her involvement in the tour amounted the bashing from her boss. During this tour, the Cameroon team missed the pre-match meeting before the return-leg of October’s 2022 African Women’s cup of Nations qualifiers game against the Central Africa Republic.

This amongst other factors have earned the former Malaga forward a query from her bosses in recent time.

Coach Gabriel Zabo of the Women’s National selection will have to make do with a new team manager as they prepare for February’s qualifiers games against the Gambian women’s football team.
