Kgadiete’s early strike secures Mamelodi Sundowns win

Melinda Kgadiete scored a fourth-minute goal as Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC of South Africa defeated Vihiga Queens of Kenya 1-0 in the opening Group B game.

Kgadiete’s early strike was enough for the COSAFA champions to earn maximum points against the CECAFA champions in a dominating game.

Sundown Ladies will next face the Nigerian Champions, Rivers Angels, while Vihiga Queens battle ASFAR.
