The Nigeria Women’s Football first tier League, NWFL Premiership resumed 2021/22 season after festive break on Wednesday, with matches across six centres in the country.
Week four witnessed sixteen (16) goals scored altogether, fourteen (14) by home teams and two (2) by away teams. Osun Babes, Adamawa Queens & Sunshine Queens all recorded their first win of the season, as all home teams win their respective match.
Osun Babes 2 vs 0 Pelican Stars
Osun Babes picked its first win of the season with a 2-0 welcome of Pelican Stars. Thanks to goals from Kesiena Ojiyovwi (15) and Ebere Oleka’s penalty in the 25th minute.
Adamawa Queens 1 Vs 0 Confluence Queens
Eunice Ezeani 69th minute goal was the difference as Confluence Queens succumbed to its first defeat of the season while Adamawa Queens earned first win of the season.
Edo Queens 2 Vs 1 Nasarawa Amazons
Under the flood lights of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Edo Queens honoured Nasarawa Amazons with a 2-1 victory.
Yemisi Samuel broke the deadlock in the 35th minute as the hosts took the lead, Akudo Ogbonna doubled the lead with well taken penalty in the 53rd minute. Two minutes later, Mercy Idoko pulled one back for her side but not enough to salvage a point.

Bayelsa Queens 3 Vs 0 Royal Queens
Bayelsa Queens understood the assignment as they welcomed Royal Queens to a 3-0 victory with all goals scored in the first half.
Aderemi Mary opened the curtain just seven minutes into the game before it became the Juliet’s affair when Sunday Juliet doubled the lead in the 18th minute and Juliet Basset draw the curtain in the 43rd minute.
Sunshine Queens 2 Vs 1 FC Robo Queens
Lagos Landladies became tennants when they visited Sunshine Queens who entertained them with two goals to one.
Aluko Mariam had served the table in the 12th minute before Olabiyi Folajomi added dessert in the 54th minutes. The visitors also did not come empty handed as Folashade Ijamilusi handed a late minute consolatory goal
Rivers Angels 4 vs 0 Abia Angels
Defending Champions welcomed Abia Angels to the biggest scoreline of the match day after demolishing the visitors 4-0.
Maryann Ezeanagu opened the scoring just five minutes into game before Cecilia Nku doubled the lead in the 16th minute to wrap up the half. Ezeanagu earned her brace in the 77th minute and ten minutes later, Chiamaka Okwuchuku completed the demolition.
