Women’s All Stars Football Competition Reaches Last Eight

This year’s All Stars Women’s Football competition has reach the quaterfinals after five group games.

The 26th edition which kicked off on January 6, saw twelve teams grouped into two groups of six teams each. The top four from each group A and B has advanced to the quartefinals which takes place at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Surulere.

From Group A, the Netherlands, Ghana, Nigeria and Germany will be playing in the quartefinals while England, Finland, Deutschland and Romania qualified from Group B.

The Netherlands will slug it out with team Romania in the first quartefinals fixture on Thursday at the Legacy Pitch.

England will go against Germany as Ghana faces Deutschland before Nigeria and Finland will wrap up the day.

The grassroot competition aims at discovery, nurturing and producing talents to the upper level while empowering the girl-child on the street of Nigeria.
