Defending Champions and most successful African women’s national team, Super Falcons of Nigeria will know its group phase opponents for the 12th Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) when the draw is staged on Monday, 25th April 2022.
Coach Randy Waldrum, has assured that the Super Falcons of Nigeria will be a dangerous team at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after his side played a 2-2 draw against Olympic champions Canada on Tuesday April 12.
This year’s tournament will hold in Morocco from the 2nd of July to the 23rd of the same month.
Morocco, Nigeria, Uganda, Burundi, Zambia, Togo, Senegal, Tunisia, Botswana, Cameroon, South Africa, and Burkina Faso are the 12 teams who have qualified. They will be drawn into four groups of three teams each.
The four semi-finalists will represent Africa at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Australia/New Zealand.
