Members of government, COCAN members and football officials are all allied at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex for the official presentation of the TotalErnegies 2021 AFCON anthem titled “Passionate of Football” and the official mascot “Mola“.
Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex was transformed into a cultural village with the presentation of some colourful sounds and rythm as fans vibrates to the rhythm of the TotalErnegies AFCON 2021 anthem “Foufou”, accompanied by the vibrant of “Mola” our mascot.
Mola –literally translated as brotherhood– will be on national mini-tour from December 9 – 22 across all the 10 regions of the country. The Mascot will be paraded across the streets to give a feel of the AFCON. The schedule was published by COCAN on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
The official AFCON mascot leaves for the other five towns expected to host the AFCON, notably the Central town, Essos, Ngoa Ekelle, Damas, Madagascar and many more.
Also, delegations from three participating countries, Senegal, Gambia, and Mali are already in Cameroon to check on their lodging facilities.
Isabella Obaze has signed a new 3-year agreement with HB Køge.
The Danish defender joined HB Køge during the 2021 January transfer window from KoldingQ. Since then, she has taken a permanent place in HB Køge’s starting line-up both in the Gjensidige Women’s League where she helped bring home the Danish Championship last season, and in the UEFA Women’s Champions League where her achievements have also been recognized internationally.

Sunshine Queens Football Club of Akure escaped relegation as the club’s management completed the Club Licensing registration for the 2021/2022 NWFL Premiership season and won’t be relegated as warned by the Nigeria Women Football League.
The Chief Operating Officer of the NWFL, Modupe Shabi, stated this morning that the management of the club headed by Mr. Akinbobola, made frantic efforts to beat the final deadline given to the club by the NWFL and before midnight of yesterday, they fulfilled all righteousness and completed all Club Licensing registration for Sunshine Queens.
Modupe Shabi said: “With this, we are ready to go as no team will be relegated due to failure to meet club licensing registration. The Week One match between Sunshine Queens and Bayelsa Queens will hold at the Akure Township Stadium, as all 14 clubs planned for the 2021/2022 NWFL Premiership will now play.”
The 2021/2022 NWFL Premiership will officially flag off tomorrow Wednesday, December 8, 2021 with a Group B game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba that would see Delta Queens host Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt. There will be other Week 1 fixtures across designated venues in Nigeria also tomorrow.
Week One Group B games will see Sunshine Queens host Bayelsa Queens at the Akure Township Stadium, and FC Robo host Abia Angels of Umuahia at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos.

Zambia have cruised to the Girls’ Under-17 football crown at the Region 5 Youth Games Maseru 2020 with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Botswana in the final at the Setsotso Stadium on Monday.
Jessy Zulu opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Lucy Kajiya doubled the lead on the 39 minutes to give Zambia the halftime lead. Lubasi Pumulo resumed the scoring in the 68th minute and Gracious Tailoshi extended the lead and sealed the win two minutes later.
The captain of the side, Lubasi Pumulo led from the front and contributed a goal in the huge win, resulting in her getting her second Player of the Match award.
The captain also won the ultimate prize, as she’s crowned the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
Pumulo will benefit from the COSAFA and La Liga partnership that will see her travel to Spain to witness training sessions at big clubs, learn the football culture among other lifetime opportunities.

History was made as 17 year-old referee Raphael Mbotela took charge in a game which was televised live on Supersport (DStv) to become the youngest referee in the world to officiate national team’s game. Mbotela, who was fourth official in the U17 Boys match between Angola and Botswana, was assisted by Musa Nkomo of Eswatini and Aldair Carmelino of Angola.
“I am extremely happy with the performance of the young boy. He did everything right,” COSAFA Referees Manager Felix Tangawarima said. “We had the boy for five days in the pre-tournament course and the bottom line is we are very happy and excited about him.
“We will assign an Instructor in Zambia to continue developing him. I urge other national associations to identify and develop these youngsters as well.”
Runners-up, Botswana were awarded the Fair Play Club award.
