All Eight teams that qualified for the Nigeria National League (NNL) super eight playoff have landed in Enugu, the host city, ahead of the the opening ceremony on Tuesday 7 September, 2021.

The Super8 is the season- ending playoff from which four teams will qualify to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The draws for the playoff will be held at the Autella Hotels & Suits, Enugu, by 6pm on Monday.
The play off will also see the best two teams from the Northern and Southern conferences fight to see who will be crowned, Champions of the 2020/21 NNL season.

The NNL management had announced Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu as the host of the matches from 7th to 11th of September with two matches scheduled for match-day 1. The first game kicks off at 2pm while the second commences at 4pm.

“To ensure the safety and security of all players and to protect all match officials, FIFA and CAF have decided to postpone the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying match Guinea vs. Morocco, which had scheduled to be hosted in Conakry, Guinea, on Monday Sept. 6 Rescheduling information will be made available at a later date.”
The Morocco squad and coaching staff were left trapped in their hotel, before the postponement was announced, Morocco coach Vahid Halilhodzic told French newspaper L’Equipe: “We’re at the hotel, gunshots can be heard nearby all day. We’re waiting for permission to leave for the airport but we’re stranded for now.

“A plane is waiting for us, but we are not allowed to leave. And to get to the airport, it takes between 45 minutes to an hour. When you hear gunshots outside, safety is not 100% guaranteed.”
He added: “I was told there was a possibility that the game would be played in Morocco, but I don’t know. For now we’re stuck there, let’s see how it goes. We wait. I hope we get back to Morocco before the end of the day.”

Tanzania Daily News report that tourney will be known as CECAFA Samia Women’s Cup and will hold next year.
A statement released by the Tanzania Football Federation said the financial donation will be used in the category of awards for both the winning teams and individuals as well as settling costs of related prizes.
