Mali international midfielder Yves Bissouma is reportedly arrested on suspicion of sexual assault at a seafront nightclub in Brighton.
The Brighton star was seen cuffed by cops out of a nightclub in the early hour of Wednesday. He was partying with a friend who is in his 40s when cops were called.
It was reported that the Malian couldn’t turn up for his country’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Harambee Stars tonight due to a knee injury.
The 25-year-old Brighton midfielder has been a revelation in the English Premier League this season and has been linked with big money moves with top clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly interested in his services.
A club spokesman said last night said : “Brighton & Hove Albion are aware that one of its players is assisting police with the investigation of an alleged offence. The matter is subject to a legal process and the club is therefore unable to make further comment at this time.”
